Making is my first language. It is through the act of making, that I process experiences and emotions. For me, making is a necessity, rather than an optional activity. In short, I make to survive.
Material and process motivate me. I strive to produce work that is honest to my own experience while also communicating a broader, more archetypal, human experience. Percolating throughout my work are themes involving family, the passage of time, loss, and transformation.
