Artist Statement

My personal experiences and outlooks on the world are most often what inspire the themes articulated in my work. Zentangles, and watercolour paintings are my most recent inspirations. My final pieces are a result of my interest and expertise in interior decorating which is reflected in my work, whether it be wall hangings, reupholstered chairs or woven pillows. Much of my work entails designing new coverings in order to give life to used furniture. My creative process involves sketching and brainstorming, experimenting with mediums, testing my designs and ultimately creating functional pieces.
